My
65 GB or larger partition does not appear - how do I it make it a
bootable choice? |
| |
|
|
| |
 |
Versions 5.04
and older of System Commander will ignore any partition that is
larger than 64 GB. The best solution is to install the current
maintance release.
As an alternative, to make your huge partition visible to System
Commander v5.04 or older, resize the partition below 64 GB as follows:
|
| |
|
| 1 |
Reboot
so the System Commander OS Selection menu appears. Select the
OS Wizard (Alt-0). |
| 2 |
Cancel
the OS Wizard, select Start, then click on Partitioning. |
| 3 |
Highlight
the huge partition, and click on resize. Pick a size less than
64 GB and complete the resize operation. |
| 4 |
When
the resize is complete, reboot. If the OS choice does not automatically
appear, you can add it as follows. At the System Commander OS
selection menu, go to Setup (Alt-S). |
| 5 |
Select
the Order, Add, remove menu. Select Add (Alt-A), then Partition. |
| 6 |
Highlight
the large partition, and press Alt-T (Toggle) to have the bootable
status as yes. |
| 7 |
Press
Esc theee times, and the OS should now appear on the main menu. |
