CD
Wizard |
| |
When
you first start CD Anywhere, the CD Wizard appears to
quickly make a CD image. You can also install a virtual
CD ROM drive or switch to the CD Manager, where you can
manually perform all CD Anywhere operations. |

Create
Image |
| |
You
can create your image from a physical CD or DVD-ROM in
your drive, or select ISO, MP3 or WAV files, or even a
selection of arbitrary files you select from your hard
disk. |

Create
Image - Select Tracks |
| |
Select
the track you wish to keep, or click on the select all
button to save all the tracks from the CD. In this example,
a music CD is being imaged. |

Create
Image - Properties |
| |
You
can view your selected tracks and change the properties
to other formats. Use WAV, MP3 or others, depending on
the encoders you have loaded, and the amount of compression
you want. |

|
| |
Create
Image - Location |
| |
Now
specify where you would like the image file saved. In
this example, we used compression, so it requires much
less disk space than the original 600 MB CD. Using MP3
or other compressed format will often reduce the disk
space requirements by 10 times or more. |

Using
your Images |
| |
With
the CD Anywhere manager, you can see your virtual and
physical CD drives and what is currently loaded. A Jazz1
music CD that was previously made, was dragged to the
K drive (the virtual drive on this system), and begins
to play as if you loaded the CD into a physical drive!
Drive M holds the Office 2000 virtual image, while the
CD Anywhere drive N is empty.
The manager also lets you easily create or delete virtual
drives, load and unload images to a drive, and even
edit tracks on your saved CD image. Once an image is
loaded, you can use your other Windows programs, such
as explorer to view the image contents, run programs
or play music from the virtual CD Anywhere images.
